Now here is a BAD idea, IMO-let the Gary City Controller pay city bills before they are approved by the publicly-observable Board of Works. The city was cited by the State Board of Accounts already for doing things this way without legal authorization. The State Board is telling Gary to fix the law, according to this P-T story: http://www.post-trib.com/news/1384174,gclaim.article The alternative Pride didn't mention-Pay the bills only after the are approved, in public, by the Board of Works. |
