Nothing like climbing the ladder in life. But is this the way to go. Old "Tiger" Tom Daubertin, hit the scene as Director of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. From indications there, he wasn't as expected. Then he opened a Ice Cream Shop in Whiting, that bellied up (not sure if it was bankruptcy) With that Ice Cream experience, he was now a professional double dipper. Here he hits the political world. At present, Consultant to the City of Hammond, Director of personell for Lake County and the highlight so far, the Leader, Director, Head Hancho, or what ever it is he does with the new Charter School being built in downtown Hammond. All this from a small one girl office. This guy is a Whizz Kid for sure. Lake County has it's own "Million Dollar Man" at the expense of the Tax Payers. Do we have our own Donald Trump in the making?

To be truthful, I was not aware of his job in Cedar Lake. How long did that last? I was just told he goofed this week when it was revealed, he hired a guy to clean the court house and the Judges Chambers and what have you in Crown Point. Turns out the guy was a convicted felon (3 times) Tommy said the guy didn't tell him that.
Wouldn't his job of hiring people require a background check? A person with that background would be near and around sensitive material in deed. Glad he didn't give the guy the keys to the jail!

Is he stil director of personnel for Lake County?

According to an article in the Post Tribune on Friday. They quote him with regards to the hiring at the Court Center in Crown Point, of a 3 time convicted felon as a janitor. I question this however. Haven't many politicians in Lake County been convicted of crimes. went to the slammer and when they got out, were rehired by the county?
