A few days ago, The Times ran an editorial in their onllne edition written by William Nangle. He started off with a boisterous command that Lake county MUST adopt an income tax. He defiantly acknowledged that his stance wouldn't be popular with the average citizen. He went on to say that any politician who isn't as enthusiastic as he is about enacting another tax, is not practicing "good governance" and should be impeached. Impeached he says! There wasn't a timestamp so you can't be sure if he was ranting shortly after "last call" was made, or if he just got an early start that day. Suffice it to say, his diatribe was "spirited". Then, in short order, it seems the editorial was spirited away from the site. Even the link says "the story can't be found". It was there long enough to get another point of view in the comments from readers. So was the editorial lost or stolen? Was the editorial removed by committee after the fact? Was The Times hacked, or like good hacks, did The Times reveal where their allegiance lies then reconsider if they wanted that exposed?
What are you jabbering about? The editorial is still there. Nothing has been yanked.
