Now really, we should show some compassion to Mr. VanTill. He was only attempting to fix an election, of sorts.
Get free campaign work on your tax dollar.
We should be giving him words of encouragement to begin to share his wealth of knowledge on some of the other lake county crooks, er I mean politicians.
Front and center should be Spark's boss Tom. Wasn't Tom the guy bashing VanTill, leading the crowd at the pre election lynching?
Might be time to serve some of VanTill's knowledge on LC Politicians, who knows how wide the ring may be and who he might ensnare.
Mr. VanTill, I salute you.... and which you share all you know.
How did Tom get a pass when city employees were trolling message boards, this and the Times, countering post which questioned Tom's leadership?

In other states, individuals have been fired and criminally prosecuted for the political use of public (tax payer's) equipment.
Per a article in the times by columnist Mark K. the postings, bashing others and supporting McDermott, on the now defunct Times E Board were coming from a city ip address, traced back to city hall. It was obvious that the posting were made for political gain by city employee on behalf of the the McDermott Administration.
Now we all know Mayor McDermott is all about law and order. We can tell by his phone call to the Sheriff on behalf of the Mailman with regard to a criminal matter, charges brought by the Indiana State Police. The Mailman is, per McDermott, his very very very powerful Political Committee man.
Now back to law and order. What ever happened to that investigation? Who was posting on the times board from city hall. Why where the posting on city time and using tax payer, public equipment.
Why was someone not disciplined or terminated in this matter, or was that person rewarded with a promotion? If the latter is true, McDermott may have some consequences, but come to think about the latter, the self inflicted Dominguez-Mailman tape in it self has done more damage.
If McDermott whated to change his image, he just might go after the ip city computer use concern.
Why would not Sheriff Dominguez investigate this abuse?
Why would not the Hammond Police Department investigate this abuse?
Why would not Benard Carter investigate this abuse?
Don't you remember that McDermott claimed at the time that it's impossible to track computers that way?
I'm fascinated now to learn the HPD, according to Sparks, uses its computers to track down citizens who post criticisms of this administration.
Funny, I tried to send an email to the HPD about a week ago regarding the apparent law breaking by Code Enforcement and the ignoring of same by the Law Department, and got a message back that the server could not be connected.
Silly me, I thought that meant their computers weren't working!
