Thursday night, they had to close down the new Indianapolis Bld bridge at Summer street. At one time I saw 9 cars involved in accidents due to iciy conditions. I understand the State is responsible to take car of this. Where were they? I know the bridge was shut down for at least 4 hours.Michigan Ave. on the north side was also a sheet of ice. Cars were going about 2 miles per hour from Indy to Calumet. Again no salt. We had to turn around and go east to Kennedy and that overpass was just as bad. It started to ice up at around 3 0r 4. I didn't see one single salt truck by 8 pm. I have no idea when they did show up, if they ever did!!!!
