How does someone who owes $1,700,000 in irs liens, owes long past due property taxes (last time I checked) on the estate in Crown Point, but yet, has the resources to open a restaurant in Highland.

Apparently Sr and a partner are opening an upscale eatery, replacing a politico hang out, the place is on Ridge Rd in Highland. Tomorrow night, 5-15 is opening night.

As a Lake County taxpayer, I just don't understand how Sr house hasn't appeared in a sheriff sale. That is an insult to every one who does pay their property taxes and a bigger insult to those who have lost their homes because of past due property taxes.

I'm sure the IRS is well aware of the opening!

And where is the location of this up scale restaurant in Highland. Including the name. Sr. has been linked to many business's in the past, including a medical
center. That bombed. Also a connecton to Jalapenoes.

So its in Highland and not Hammond. So is Sr. saying Hammond doesn't have "upscale" clients?

Upscale? Where? Even Munster (Beverly Hills on the Little Cal), the most "upscale" town in NWI, can't support any kind of decent restaurant. Panera Bread seems to be as good as it gets in the Town of Integrity.

Well upscale may take poetic license. I don't want to disclose the name as in my opinion, it will fail soon on its own merits.

Sr, besides the well documented stiffing of Lake County residents on his property taxes, apparently stiffed the federal government on income tax, the latter federal lien it is speculation Sr got some land and consulting payment associated with the plan Dedlow put together on Cabela's and Jr taking the credit for ti coming to fruition.

Isn't their a story about Sr stiffing a used car dealer and writing a check for a wedding reception which bounced?

We'll see how long this partnership last.

I wonder if the IRS knows Sr has an interest in a joint? Make make some interesting fodder.

Yep that is so true. Aldi's is now considered an upscale retailer, since thats all Cabela's tends to draw :)

Highland has more restaurants than the average town and more being built. Checking around and no one knows anything about a new high class joint.
2 pizza places have or will open shortly and a new one in the Grove Mall called Noodles. I wonder if the info is correct. Several people are attempting to re open the Country Kitchen in Hobart. That was a hang out for most of the politicans in Lake County. Theo's in Highland is rated upper class and is charging Chicago prices. Food isn't that great, for what they charge. The guy that owns the Round the Clock is slated to go to the pen shortly. Hey That's a perfect tie up for Sr.

Don't knock ALDI's. They are changing their store contents daily. A lot of good buys from nationally known producers. Only different labels. Remember they own Traders Joes also. A lot of their new lines come from Germany, which is their home base.

Doesn't matter. ALDI's IS NOT A HIGH END RETAILER that Cabela's was supposed to bring in as promised.

IF you consider Aldi's and Trader Joes as high end, we have very differing opinions on what high end is

Aldi's being considered a high end retailer is like saying a Chevy Chevelle is a luxury vehicle

For the area, Aldi's is high end. Plus Cabellas had nothing to do in Aldi's locating in the Hammond location. I know this for a fact.

So you missed the nursing home bus trip to the mall and got on the computer again, eh Scoop? For the area, a payday loan shop, a Planned Parenthood clinic, and a used car lot are high end.

For all the sources you claim to be plugged into, you sure offer little in the way of concrete information. Why don't you quit pretending to be Walter Winchell, buy a nice cane fishing pole, and spend your remaining days pulling carp out of Wolf Lake?
