A Hammond Police Officer is on leave, after a video surfaced of him choking and beating his K9 partner. nwitimes.com This video is on youtube, and the times web site. IMO, this cop needs to be fired. |

This video is going great guns on U Tube. I haven't checked the hits lately, but it was around 50,000 the last I checked. Great publicity for Hammond. |

My Chocolate Lab was trained at Landheim, probably this K9 was too. You can pull on the leash to make the dog drop an object, if they ignore the command to drop, but there is no way in heck you are supposed to yank them off the ground, choking them. Watching this vid, this cop not only chokes this dog several times, but whips him with the leash. I fully intend to call the mayors office and the new police chief tomorrow. |
