Judge Judy speaks out on where our tax dollars go in this case of Duane Brooks, Jr. who is scamming the government with all of his stipends, subsidies and assistance - and using none of it for what it was intended for.

We even have some clueless parasites who occasionally show up around here call this ''Free Money''...

IMO, College Bound has shown dismal results. Out of over 300 students, only about 60 stayed in college and graduated. That is 1 out of 5. College Bound needs to be discontinued, along with United Neighborhoods Inc, which has a list of properties up for the tax sale, again, the Legal Clinic, which is nothing but a duplicate of what was already in place, etc.

Of those sixty, how many pursued degrees in fields other than communications, African-American studies, feminist theory, sociology, government, and whatever other worthless pursuit can be dreamed up?

Actually Tiger, a progressive Times reporter and a verbal slip by Courtney Saczawa, the program coordinator for College Bound, 460 students in CB's 6th year have participated, only 60 so far have graduated.

Wasted money? Maybe, still there is not an independent audit with regard to how this program is implemented and whom is paid what to administrate it and if the awards have been equitably distributed.

Courtney Saczawa, program coordinator for College Bound, said 11 of the program's students attend Calumet College of St. Joseph.

College Bound is halfway through its sixth year. Of the 460 students participating, 60 so far have graduated, she said.

The program was started as a 10-year project, something McDermott said he wants to extend.

"I have a personal goal to make College Bound a permanent part of Hammond," he said.
