This thread is about Krusa and his conflicts of interest. I'll NEVER believe it is not a conflict for a consultant like Krusa to accept money from a company which he is advising the city on related to tax abatement and similar issues. It is also wrong that he did not file any conflict-of-interest disclosures with the Lake County clerk's office. It's plain old WRONG, IMO. But just like mcsenior had no problem with Krusa collecting pay from the city of Hammond while working for Nipsco, mcmayor has no problem with Krusa's double dealing. Krusa worked on Hammond's biggest deals for mcmayor. Cabelas and River Park immediately come to mind. Where did Krusa's loyalties lie on those deals? Hammond invested nearly $50 million on them so far. We have a right to know the details, no matter how mcmayor stamps his foot and fumes. His lack of interest in the answer to the question about these deals involving Krusa are telling more than he apparently realizes. .

Since when is corruption and official lawbreaking always prosecuted in Lake County? If the City Attorney and mayor think that sort of behavior is OK, I think that's the end of it unless someone on a higher level thinks they can prove and desires to make a case that the mayor and City Attorney also broke the law somehow.
