Agenda started out with a program by the Explorers. What a wonderful, polite and well spoken group they are! As a Hammond resident I am so proud to have these kind of youths in our neighborhoods. On a bad note, Hammond crime is up this year by 16%. The good news is there have been no homicides. Burglaries are down this past month in the Woodmar area. (I attribute that to my burglars being caught.)
Some of the Edison crime watch people were there as well as the city wide crime watch people. It takes more than the police to keep our communities safe, it takes the help of the citizens also. If you see something not right, call the police.
