Did I hear the Chairman on air this morning, complaining the Indiana Democratic Party has not given Lake County money for banners, signs, etc for the Pres?

McDermott, as Lake County Democratic Chairman, has failed to increase the voting numbers, absolutely no new voters registered in Hammond and/or program, as Chairman to increase eligible voters in Northwest Indiana. The Chairman professes to the unknowing public, he got 80% of the vote to be re-elected as Mayor, but he failed to tell the public that less than 12% of the eligible Hammond voters, voted in the last Hammond Mayoral election. Pitiful numbers, just pitiful.

To an educated politician, those numbers above say, the Chairman worked at controlling a low turnout, and failed to register new voters, to assure his re election, but he really can't deliver large number of votes, let's say for Obama or anyone else (of course other than himself). NWI will have 70,000 to 75,000 democratic votes.... maybe not this time around.

Where would Tom get to enroll new voters? Well, the thousands upon thousands of out of state plated vehicles that grace this city and NWI, but opps, that might change the voting dynamics and McDermott may not, excuse me, would not be able to maintain his power base, city employees and their families.

Yes, Tom you fail to tell the public that, but the Indiana Democratic Party knows that. Your only influence is the tax dollars and additional debt you spend on projects like $1.3million baseball fields, which further put Hammond in more fiscal debt. Once that gravy train is over or he follows in Philpott's footsteps, the Chairman's influence will falter.

The members of the Indiana Democratic party can read the State Audits where tens of millions of Hammond tax dollars wind up missing, so why should they give Indiana State Democratic money to someone who seems to lose count of how money is spent.

Now, you add McDermott's self-serving foot in mouth attitude, those, I am a better vet than those guys who wear leathers and ride motorcycles, and that Shut your trap comment......

No wonder you're not getting a penny from the Indiana Democratic Party, but on the other hand Chairman, spend some of that $450,000 campaign money you have on the President.

Fact Tom, voters in Lake County are going to vote as they always have whether or not the IDP give you a penny or not, so, I agree with them, why spend the money.

In fact Tom they are also telling you, they can do with out your antics. You need them more than they need you. Your effort to replace Bayh was downstate bar room laughter.
