Here are the highlights of the meeting:

All board members were present.

Special Presentation:

Centier Bank had a Community Health and Wellness Fair.
Title 1 had a Family Fair.

Unfinished Business:

Chris Rivera talked about the upcoming work sessions for board policy(NEOLA).

Reports:

The SCH has had parent meetings scheduled about the changing school schedule. Last thursday was a meeting at Clark, tomorrow will be at Gavit, wednesday will be at Hammond High, thursday will be at Morton.

Calender: All of the following meetings will be at 41 Williams Street and at 5:30pm.

Public Work sessions: Thursday July 11th ,tuesday July 23rd, and tuesday July 30th.
Regular School Board Meetings: Monday July 15th and monday July 29th.

There were no speakers for the Public Expression this evening. An Executive Session was held immediately after the regular board meeting tonight. The topic was the purchase or lease of real property.

My take: The mayor and Stan Dostatni came to the meeting this evening. There has been previous dialogue about a pedestrian bridge to be built across 165th, that will encroach on SCH property. I would guess that is why they came to the SCH meetings this evening.
