The streets are a sheet of ice. It's bad when your city salt truck slides off the road due to ice. The cops are even asking where the hell are the salt trucks. Hohman ave. closed downtown at the bridge.

Quit complaining. Get out there, hand out some flyers, and engage your neighbors.

Now you know why The Oracle gets a take-home vehicle.

The above picture is over a couple of years old.

The picture below is of Hammond's salt depository, gaping holes, salt getting wet, dissolving with the rain.

As posted before, no money in a new salt dome, repair would be what $500 to $1000. A contract can't make a buck after paying the Tom McDermott Jr Tax. :smt002

Nothing a few flyers and engaged neighbors can't resolve.

When the former second in command of my used bottles and cans got his big promotion the money had to come from someplace. I guess they used the salt budget to pay him. We all know he is worth every penny.

LOL !!!

BTW, the streets are horrible. Going to the school board meeting at Morton Elementary, it was so bad, that I almost turned around and went back home. When I was driving back from the school board meeting at Morton elementary, I followed the only salt truck I saw, going down 169th until it turned south on Indianapolis. It was a skating rink all the way from 169th and Indianapolis, all the way home. :( I have a very big heavy old car, and had new tires put on it last year. the only thing that would have helped was chains on the tires.
