Tell me it ain't true, the city controller's office aint going to be paying medical bills any more.... story out there is a couple of HFD guys, because of their politics have had their legal benefits, initially denied, then delayed in payment to cause their credit scores to tumble.
It would be interesting if they went to an attorney to have this come out in the open. One Hammond City Attorney just might take the case to specifically screw with Tom, giving him a better state wide profile, but the real issue....
no longer will a city controller be able to write medical payment checks on a spouse... see allegations are wide spread McDermott stopped a criminal investigation on a city employee who's spouse had a prescription drug use problem.... illegal prescription drug use problem.
From the stories at the campfire, a city employee authorized payment of those questionable prescriptions...part of the story presented is Tom called 3 cops into his office to stop a criminal investigation involving schedule iv and v narcotics prescription fraud.
As a result, it is believed by many, the recent resignations of some of Tom McDermott's key people are a result of federal intervention... reportedly causing a cleansing, which included Mayor Thoams McDermott Jr's resignation as Chairman of the Lake County Democratic Party.
The notice that went out to city employees informing them of a change in health care plan, is just one more piece of evidence supporting serious problems inside Thomas McDermott Jr's city hall.
Tom McDermott will be leaving, resigning his office, after he spreads sufficient cover, "he needs the money."
Why should McDermott get off when Philpot and VanTill got convicted.
Why haven't been taken to prosecute the county's largest crook?
It is obvious, Thomas McDermott Jr is a snitch.
