Here are the highlights of the very short meeting:

Ms. Murphy was absent this evening.

Public Expression:

Ms. Carlotta King was expressing her dismay at the pick for the new Principal of Hammond High, with no input from the community at large. She said the former Principal was doing a good job, and there are big shoes to fill. She said she hopes that HHS will get the same amount of financial support from the School Administration, that the other schools are receiving.

Consent Agenda/Personnel Reports:

Several new Principals were introduced this evening, along with current school level administrators who have received a promotion.

My take;

Although I do not agree with Carlotta King on many issues, I agree with her that the community should have had some input on the selection of the new Principal at HHS. As for the financial support of HHS, HHS has always been treated as an unwanted stepchild of the SCH.
