Beyond the general trend of less posting here, noticeably missing are the rabid McDermott supporters. Their vapid postings were actually welcomed by me, as they exposed their own weak arguments and failures. So where have all the Fowlers gone? Long time posters? Even spanks? |

While it was always fun to hear from the sycophants and the otherwise unemployable working in municipal and county government, perhaps their patrons (as well as WDEM-1230 management) finally realized that providing outlets for stereotypical Region "deze, dem, doze, and ya' knowers" does more harm to the image of NWI than it does good. I'm sure local Dems enjoying getting their egos stroked but can you imagine trying to sell the Calumet Area to employers and the productive class with nosepickers like Fowler, the Kuz, Sparks, and the Jailman as your point men? There is a new Facebook page on which the Region intelligentsia now post and do what they have done for decades: "engage in vigorous, informed debate about issues facing NWI while avoiding name-calling, personal attacks, and respecting everyone's opinion". Expect the same results as those produced by all previous forums populated by high school dropouts, drunks, old-school heavy industry romantics, entitled single moms, and Democratic party wannabes and hangers on. |
