A visitor to the campfire shared a story with me. Over a warm cup of tea made on the campfire under the Hohman Avenue Bridge, the visitor said, those boys with Gold Badges were in Hammond.

Yep, they continued, da boys with gold badges were interviewing someone who Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr holds dear and close to his heart, about a fire, a fire which very well may have been set.

The fire was reportedly, intentionally set so certain Hammond City Government employees, could gain access, to inspect the building/property inside.

Hmmm, would that happen in Hammond? Wouldn't that be illegal?

Participants had to be fairly high up the food chain to carry out such a plan?

Is this why there have been recent visits by Federal Authorities to Hammond City Agencies?
