Here are the highlights of mthe short meeting:

All board members were present, but Mrs. Jones was late.

Personnel

Theresa Mayerik, the Chief Administrator of Academic Affairs, was voted in as the acting superintendent during Dr. Watkins absence. The board will petition the state board of education for a temporary administrative license for Ms. Mayerik.

Public Expression:

Carlotta King expressed her thoughts and prayers for the SCH, Dr. Watkins, and his family and friends during this trying time.
Patrick O'Rourke expressed his thoughts and prayers for the SCH, Dr. Watkins, and his family and friends.

My take:

IMO, for crimes like this,beating an elderly man almost to death, public hangings should be brought back.

I feel so bad for him and his family. I hope they find these creeps and prosecute them to the full extent of the law! I have been praying for Dr. Watkins. I wanted to go to the meeting but I have my handicapped brother this week.

There should have been a lot of people there, but there wasn't. Only a small handful of community people were there, besides a few SCH employees.
