Recognition/Presentation:

Mr. Theo Boone was honored for his recent certification in School Finances

Calender:

Special meeting at 5:15pm thursday July 31st, followed immediately by a Public Work Session at 5:30pm. The next regular meeting is monday August 11, 2014 5:30pm. These meetings are all at 41 Williams street. The times and locations will change after the start of the new school year.

Public Expression 2nd Session(no speakers 1st session):

Two coaches and members of the "Hammond Future", a basketball, mentoring, and community service oriented youth organization, spoke about the need to direct the youth to positive things, instead of the streets, gangs, and other negatives. They are requesting a use of the SCH school gyms for this purpose.

My Take:

I wish the "Hammond Future" good luck in their endeavors. I think this is a positive program that can be beneficial to youth.
