Well, he can't find a job in the private sector.

Prospects of running for state wide and/or federal office are poisoned by jr own psychotic behaviors.

Past efforts to run for US Senate where quickly shot down.

Past run for governor, well, his candidacy was found to be a joke by down state democratic.

Attempts at influencing friends using McPac, well did more damage than good, mostly because of his ego.

Tom reportedly has had more affairs than

I hear Tom is going to be a subject of an attorney discipline action, someone is waiting for a more opportune time to have the head lines break.

He has no where else to go other than to a federal penitentiary.

From sources, Tom has some real problems that are going to surface should he run for any other office than Mayor, following the foot steps of another Notre Damn Law School Graduate, Jerry Genova.

In his interview for The Times story of his need to continue to captain the sinking SS Hammond, stinking Tom McDermott tugged at our emotions, saying that a run for governor would mean not being able to see his son Patrick grow up. That he wouldn't be able to attend his little league games. Awww! If he shares his father's traits, the son, like his father will never "grow up". McDermott then throws little Patrick to the wolves. McDermott says that if Evan Bayh doesn't run for governor, he(McDermott) could change his mind and run for governor. McDermott said that he would be "all in" and it would mean that he "would be out of here". So, just like that, Tom forgets about little Patrick? It rests on decisions made by Bayh? If asked would McDermott then say, "Patrick who?"

Lubu,

Look on the bright side, with Tom's wondering head, Patrick may get another step brother or sister.

Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. has been a vocal critic of the Toll Road lease, which he said exploits Northwest Indiana.

"It's not fair that only Northern Indiana is paying the tolls, when the money's being used to build bridges over the Ohio River or interchanges in Indianapolis," he said. "It's not fair when all of the burden is being felt up here."

The lease calls for annual toll increases, which now amounts to a total $10 for a car that travels all the way from the Chicago Skyway to the Ohio Turnpike. A new operator would have an incentive to improve the Toll Roads' balance sheet, possibly by cutting back on maintenance or repair projects, McDermott said.

The Toll Road is already in questionable shape in places, such as the functionally obsolete interchange in Lake Station, McDermott said.

Maybe this is why Hammond, under Thomas McDermot Jr's leadership built 3 $1.3 million baseball fields; 2 $1.5million bicycle paths; $3,000,000 in legal clinics some say employing Tom's friends and family, $300,000 to a local non for profit so a McDermott could get a job @ $75,000 a year, $5,000,000 on College Bound Program with than 75 graduates.

Tom's placed Hammond in Financial Ruin....

ImageWell Tom's given boat loads of money to his political supporters.... by projects like the one above.... this place now stands to be tore down.

Just cant wait for someone to begin to ask Tom questions about how is pal's brother got $400,000 to build two homes....

Really Tom, bad deal? Really?
