INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two Indianapolis charter schools have announced plans to close at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
WRTV reports ADI Schools Inc. on Friday announced plans to relinquish charters awarded to Andrew Academy and Padua Academy charter schools in 2010. Both schools were sponsored Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard.
The announcement comes a day after Flanner House Elementary, another charter school sponsored by Ballard, announced it was closing next month after an investigation uncovered widespread cheating on its students’ state standardized tests.
Department of Education data showed students at Andrew Academy and Padua Academy fell far below statewide average for ISTEP+ pass rates in public schools.
Jr's Charter School is not doing much better and @ a cost of $35,000,000 of what some say is graft covered contracts, questionable construction cost over runs, and a school which reportedly needed exceptions from the SBE to open.
One thing for sure, someone got a gravy contract for the food service, along with a teaching job......
Hey Tom, it all for the kids right? If so then why is this school having such problems?
Tom? $35,000,000 of graft?
