Here are the highlights of the quick meeting tonight:

All board members were present.

There was a quick recess from the regular board meeting tonight, for the statutory Budget Meeting. The budget for the SCH was passed this evening.

Reports:

There appears to be about 100 new students in the SCH this year. The official count for the state will be friday.

Calender:

The next regular board meeting is Monday September 22, 2014 6pm Franklin Elementary School. The first regular board meeting in October will be October 13, 2014 6pm 41 Williams Street.

Public Expression 2nd Session(no speakers 1st session):

Juan Andrade, WLTH radio host, is having a live panel of school superintendents on the show on the 22nd of this month. He invited the acting SCH superintendent to join the live panel.

Dale Parrish asked the board members what the procedure is for the use of SCH facilities for outside groups.

My Take:

Nice quick meeting this evening.

There will be a School Board candidates night at 41 Williams on October 16th and 30th from 6:30-8:30pm.
