Now didn't Kantar raise an issue with regard to a building on Hohman Ave, just north of the South Shore.... it was boarded up, unsightly. Code Enforcement brought the owners in to Hammond Court and Kantar vigorously went after the Bank who owns the property, tossing out allegations of decomposing food on the floors, rats as big as McDermott's dog wondering around the building. The Bank brought in evidence an exterminator was in the property, and none of which was found to be true.

Did McDermott and Kantar have a different motive? Possibly. Story out there is a campaign contributor, or a future campaign contributor of Tom's reportedly wanting to put a gas station on that corner and was forcing a sale.

I am sure Tom would never use the city court, public resources to muscle a property owner to sell their property to a developer.....Never happen that way, I am sure it was the altruistic concern of city fore fathers the building was unsightly and the reason why it was brought into court.

But in Down Town Hammond, we see this gem. Boarded up property does a lot for the image of downtown Hammond, especially if a couple of Tom's closest campaign advisers, city employees have an ownership interest in the building/trust, LLC associated with the building. You can't harass people who can turn on you, they might spill the beans.

Hell, Halloween is right around the corner. Maybe it could be a haunted house.... maybe it already haunted.

Why is this property looking like this? Or is it Thomas McDermott Jr, to busy trying to find another job, Lt. Governor candidate, Governor candidate, US Senate Candidate or is it a lobbist now, Tom can't find another job so it a re run for Hammond Mayor. Too bad Tom isn't paying more attention to Hammond.

Are the utilities still on in the building? Why?

Aren't abandoned buildings suppose to have their utilities turned off or are we waiting for a catastrophic incident to occur?

Tom?
