The educated residents of Hammond fully understand the ineptitude of the McDermott administration.
I read a December 5, 2014 post on this board indicating McDermott will seek another term. If the voters in Hammond are stupid enough to re-elect him, then they, and the city, deserve whatever befalls the city.
As for the fire at 644 Sibley, I truly wonder about the outcome had the other Code Enforcement officers been in place AND if Code Enforcement had done their job.
And to beat a dead horse, I also wonder what would have happened had the health department been kept in place.
McDermott demoting those two inspectors only serves to prove what I have long maintained...Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., did not want the health department because he could not control who was hired and fired in that department. Wake up folks. Get rid of that man.
And as for you Little Jr., I know you read these boards, you are a little man! Plain and simple. Not even your military service elevates you above a single celled organism!
