Northwest Indiana Discussion

Here are the highlights of the quick meeting, of which I arrived late. Sorry.

All board members were present.

Recognition/Presentation

The Jefferson School Choir performed this evening. A community partnership between Jefferson Elementary and Christ Lutheran Church in regards to reading, has been established.

The next regular school board meeting will be on Monday April 6th, 6pm 41 Williams Street.

Public Expression 2nd Session(I missed 1st Session)

SCH bus drivers expressed their concerns over SCH policy 41-60 in regards to returning bus drivers. They believe there has been intrusive questions added to the paperwork, like a family medical history, ie, parents, grandparents, siblings health, etc. They also expressed concerns over the "fitness for duty exams" and other aspects of the current regulations, which allegedly is stricter than the state regulations.

My Take:

I apologize for being late to this meeting this evening. 2 family members had their vehicles break down,so I was taxi for a day, and I have a relative in ICU.
The bus drivers need their grievances addressed satisfactorily.
