Tom McDermott told us on the radio today how he had attended a professional hockey game the night before. Not any game but Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Conference Finals. Not a cheap ticket if you're lucky to find one at all. Tom is quite the sports fan as his attendance at so many world class sports events shows. Tom makes a decent salary, paid for by taxpayers, but who pays for his tickets? We know campaign contributors pay for his Notre Dame football season tickets, but how does he afford cross continent Bowl Games and super pricey tickets like this hockey game? Does he pay his way or does someone else pay? Does someone buy Tom tickets as a favor? Do they have a relationship with the city? Do they expect that favor returned? Was he sitting in the nosebleeds swilling beer or was his seat a cushioned lounge chair in a skybox sipping scotch? Does anyone else working for the city get these kinds of gifts? Do they report it?
