Hammond out of Control?

All one has to do is look at the HT headlines, you would have to agree Hammond's crime is out of control.

So now the Common Council talks about supporting civility in Hammond. I guess that was something not popular when Freetime took her abuse from Tom and company.

Why the under staffing? Under staffing you say, over $800,000 was recently spent on Henry Unit Overtime...... not enough hired cops on the street they say... Why Tom?

Then you have got to ask, considering the crime in Hammond, why are Hammond cops working the Interstate? Sure they provide a service, prevent deaths, enforce safe driving practices and yes, the feds are paying for their salaries.... but wouldn't those cops be better used to protect the very tax payers who are paying for their services? Dealing with the crime problems in Hammond not on a Federal highway, which should be patrolled by the State?

Yep no on other than Tom's supporters can reach him on WFED... and at a monthly road show, questions are screened....

No hard questions for Tom.....

Boy Child leads the way to innovation.... No one's asked Tom, who's bank $17,000,000 of Hammond tax payers money wound up in, illegally and uninsured.

Crime out of control and Tom is on vacation. Maybe Hammond needs to send more cops to patrol Interstate 80.... nothing to see here.

Theft is up too. My middle daughter's car was a target. Sometime between 1am and 7am very early Monday morning , someone sawed off her exhaust system to steal her catalytic convertor. She had to replace the pipe and catalytic convertor. She just had a new exhaust system put on her car 2 months ago.

FTR, her car was parked right in front of her house, by the streetlight.
I am glad that scrapper ordinance is working so well(major sarcasm). All the scrapper ordinance did was stop the honest scrappers out there from making a living to support their families, and make it difficult for ordinary citizens to turn in their saved beverage cans, as they have to show their ID and their transaction is recorded. It didn't stop the thieves.
Listen to the scanner, JCMT, as there are a LOT more shootings and other assaults with deadly weapons that never make the paper.
