Here are the highlights of the quick meeting this evening: All board members were present. Recognition/Presentation: According to the agenda today, there was a Teacher honored and a discussion on an educational forum. I apologize,as I was late to the meeting this evening, because of the flooding. Consent Agenda: It was brought up that on the personnel report, that even though many of the open teachers positions have been filled, there are still several others that need to be filled, and the first day of school is wednesday. Reports: Wallace will be in the State Systemic Improvement Plan. The goal is to improve test scores. Calendar: There will be a Special board meeting on Monday August 29th, 41 Williams Street 5:30pm. In September the regular meetings will all be at 6pm. They are Monday the 6th at 41 Williams Street and Monday the 19th at Gavit. There will be a Public Work Session on Wednesday the 21st 5:30pm at 41 Williams Street. Public Expression 2nd Session(no speakers 1st session): Carlotta King said she is proud of Hammond High's achievements, and proud of the feeder schools to Hammond High. My Take: A very quick meeting this evening. I again apologize for being late. |
