I am announcing my candidacy for a seat on the Hammond School Board. As of this morning, I am officially on the ballot for the general election in the Fall. I have to thank my friends and family who helped me get on the ballot, and all the absolutely GREAT people I had the good fortune to meet and converse with, in my pursuit of signatures to get on the ballot. We ARE going to make the Hammond Schools GREAT, once again, with all of us working together. We have to work diligently to win in the Fall, and we CAN do this.
To my friends who helped me greatly, Tina, Ken, Linda, and other friends who supported me to get this done, THANK YOU !!! To my family, my husband Roy, who acted as receptionist for the barrage of phone calls, THANK YOU ! For my daughter Alexandra, who helped with the signatures and other things, THANK YOU ! For my daughter Mary K, who drove me around the city in the pursuit of signatures, THANK YOU !
I got a lot of work to do, but I will still attend and report on the School Board meetings.
