The argument Tom McDermott uses to propose closing Hammond city court is that it loses money. Why stop there? The slummer festival held every year loses money. Shut it down, Tom. Lost Mush golf course loses money every year. Close it down, Tom. If you don't, people are going to ask why. Why Tom? Someone lining their pockets, while taxpayers' pockets line with lint? Tom?

We need this court here, as there is no transportation for people to go to Crown Point. We had our buses taken away, we have had the Health Department taken away, and now, if people want justice through the courts, they are supposed to figure out how they are going to go to Crown Point.

Lulu....

Actually three items should go...

1. Festival of the Snakes and the skimming occurring on the festival... Parking receipt numbers have never added up.

2. The City Court has been abused by McDermott and his clan.... it's been well documented, by more than one attorney practicing out of that courtroom, attorneys have advised the court they were not available, sought and obtained verbally a continuance and their client's case was called in the defendant's absence with adverse rulings for the defendant.

Fact, there are at least 3 local attorneys working on filing violations of the 14th Amendment in Federal Court, naming the city, the Hammond City Court as a defendant.

Most of those continuances granted and later heard were defended by some of Tom's best friends....

3. The third party that needs to go is Jr. One of the most liked men in Lake County. Let's hope they make it a family affair. There have long been questions regarding Jr's abuse of Campaign finance rules, stifled by the Lake County Election Board.

The appointment by vice president elect was a way to clean up the lake county corruption.

Hammond citizens will have a level playing field until the court is closed.
