Someone emailed this to me and stated they are posting this in comment boards where ever they see something about McDermott. They forwarded the link stating to help them put it on other boards.
It reportedly appeared under May1846's name.
Hmm, Mayor Thomas McDermott jr is also Lake County Democratic Chairman, a Notre Dame Law School graduate and a licensed attorney. Read this post and listen to the links, then ask yourself is this the type of leadership you want in the US Senate?
Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr is not to be confused with ex Mayor Thomas McDermott Sr, his father. At last look, Sr is now $120,000 behind in property taxes, there are some question how Sr's property has not sold at a sheriff sale; Sr's appeal can’t be found by the tax appeal board, but that for another post.
An indication of Jr's progressive initiatives is he purchased a foam statue of liberty wanting to place it in a park at a cost of $2,000,000, spending $150,000 he found that the foam statue would deteriorate in the elements. Hammond taxpayers are now paying for its storage.
The previous and current Indiana State Board of Accountants review of Hammond's financial affairs has cited Jr for failing to provide receipts for the reported $80,000 plus he has been reimbursed for his mayoral expenses.
A real concern is Mayor Jr's emotional maturity, the enclosed link holds two voicemails this Notre Dame Law School graduate left on answering services, the first involved Jr's attempt to intimidate an 18 yo kid who wants to run for mayor; a second link is Jr attempting to intimidate the Lake County Sheriff for serving a warrant sought by the US Marshall's for the arrest of a political operative and his family when a State Police helicopter had a hit (no pun intended) on marijuana grown in the back yard of the operative. It is reported the operative admitted he knew it was growing in the back yard.
http://www.youtube.com/user/gohammondindianaThe late Bobby Kennedy said "Lake County Indiana is the most corrupt county in the country. " and now it wants to go to Washington.
