Post subject:  Buzz on LaPorte Mayoral Race?

How come I am hearing no buzz anywhere regarding the upcoming mayoral race in LaPorte? Chroback is the former mayor that lost a close election during an economic down-time. Morris is a very likable, personable guy who has a budget that seems to be going out of control. Why do I know the personal and political details of about 40 presidential candidates when the election is over a year away, but I've heard next to nothing about these guys?

Is it because neither one will "play dirty" or go negative...so it's not a sexy story for the media to cover? Is it because they are both confident in their positions so they don't feel the need to campaign? I couldn't even find a website for either candidate and the election is about two months away. What am I missing here? This should be a classic showdown...

Johnny,

You won't hear to much. I am the Independent Write-In Candidate for Mayor and I have had more coverage than the both of them. They have nothing to debate and nothing to argue about because they are one in the same. I am open, honest, and believe that the citizens are the ones incharge and they are the ones that matter not special interest groups and my wallet.

They can't debate me because I would blow them out of the water. If WIMS hosts a debate inviting the three of us I would be more than happy to be there.

In liberty,

Michael Strauss

The vibe that I'm getting is that nobody is interested in having a debate. We are looking to have everyone on as a guest at some point in the next month, and they will be taking some questions from listeners...but this has just been a limp race. Nobody wants to give an opinion on ANYTHING...even when asked straight up about the inter-model.

I thought this was going to be a hotly contested shoot out, but both the major party candidates seem to be taking their votes for granted? I was so excited on primary night about this race and only this race, and so far they have given me nothing. I'll be in touch once we start focusing in on this race. I figured that THEY would dictate when we would start by creating news and buzz...but I guess we will just pick an arbitrary time and start talking LaPorte mayoral politics...

I have a very direct and public opinion about the intermodal. Anytime you want I will have no problem discussing it.

The answers are out there contrary to what Morris and Chroback say. They want to play the "I don't know game" so that they don't have to form an opinion.

I am currently producing a documentary on the Intermodal. Unfortunately it has turned out to take longer than expected to finalize it. Hopefully it will be out by the end of the month.

If you want answers and you want to discuss the issues I'm open to talk about them.

You can call me at 219.369.4121 or email me at w3network at gmail.com

I will be pretty busy for the next few months as I am part of the National Clean Elections Lawsuit and soon a local suit, but I will be more than happy to make time to speak with you.
