Dispite even having a Cingular store within Michigan City, I want to let everyone know that if you are considering new cell phone service in this area, DO NOT use Cingular. Their coverage areas are very sparce leaving large areas of MC blank. Areas such as the Pines, the Lakefront, and sections of Ohio Street are completely serviceless. Cingular also refuses to let people out of contracts after people discover that their service is not nearly as advertised. Their only solution is to pay the $150 disconnection fee per phone. Much better solutions are Nextel and Verizion for those whose primary calling area will be Michigan City. |
