Carla Iacona was suspended this weekend by the Michigan City Area Schools, becoming the 2nd member of the systems administration to be suspended by the school board. Previously Gene Sweeney was suspended without pay for his comments he made degrading the areas teachers and the city of Michigan City... Yet the theme is that no one has been fired for the mess that is our school system. And instead of doing something to change things, we sit at the status quo, with administrators who want no part of Michigan City (in Sweeney and Harding) and others who can't even hire an Athletic Director (Iacona). Its pathetic really. |
