With the current state of our steel mills, a lot of our economy is going to have to fall on tourism. What a good start to drawing visitors to Portage.

I have a box of research work I did on the future of the region as a tourist area and I believe we will do better, in so many ways, like we never have ...

Yea but wasnt the other part of this beach deal to agree to take more Section 8 housing in Portage?

I thought I remember reading something like that in the Times.....

What I really don't understand is why Portage wants a beach in between 2 steel mills...I just don't get it.

All the beaches in this area are plagued by mills...whaddya gonna do?

If you live here you know what's part of the package...one will smother the other or they will co-exist...that's just the way it goes!
