Post subject:  Fire the consultants
Most cities and for sure the county is loaded with "CONSULTANTS" If the elected officials need them because they don't have the brains to get the job done, then they should resign from office. Now I'm not speaking of professional people like engineers and other qualified individuals. But let's face it, this consultant thing is completly out of hand. They charge like $100.00 per hour and up, some have set salaries up in the big bucks.
I keep getting calls about one county consultant that is getting many checks from the county in a very slick way.
On top of their consultant duties, they have personal other jobs. Just when O'h when is this county going to get
this county on a honest basis. Many years ago, we had a Lake County Crime Commission, when it operated in a orderly fashion, it was headed by a guy named Elmer Jacobsen, a retired FBI agent. But after many county folks went behind bars, including several Judges, they gave the Commission and Jacobsen the boot. Maybe this is the answer. Start another Crime Commission again.

they have consultants because they cannot do the job and the people they hire (their firends and family) can't do the job either! Look at hammond and what mc dermott has done. he hires guys that will infiltrate the republicans by saying their republican and vote republican in the primary so he can cause a rift over there. that's what that jacubczak, mccarthy and his little group does. they cna't even tie thier own shoes but da mayor hires them to put some cash in thier pockets so they can put some losers in there to run for office.

Someone is drinking too much of the Janiec kool-aid. Joe has been a card carrying member of the republican party for years. He worked hand in hand with John Curley to help rebuild that Hammond GOP after Dedelow left office. Taking a board position that only a republican can fill isn't being hired by McDermott, it's ensuring that real republicans are taking republican appointments. These aren't board postions that can be filled with democrats. And for the record, Kim Poland fully supported the appointments of McCarthy and Jacubczak.

Quite frankly, you have no idea what's going on in Hammond. You support Janiec who is the head of a bipartisan pac. Do you think he recruits people to the republican party to make it stronger? No. He recruits them to his pac. This pac has also put up a democrat that plans on defeating mcdermott than run against a republican candidate. What if Premeske is winner take all? What if he beats McDermott then whomever wins the R primary? That means we have another democrat as mayor of Hammond. This helps the party how? So don't sit there and talk about people splitting the party for their own ends when you're a Janiec supporter.

and quite frankly I don't quite frankly give a d@mn my dear wigged out! wasn't janiec elected by the republican precinct committeemen to secretary? i guess your just upset that your boyfriend mccarthy didn't win.

Yup and it'll be great when he starts supporting the city party instead of his own group that endorses democrats like Bob Markovich.
