A vandal last week shot 62 arrows into the fake statue of Liberty with Mexican Flags on them that was the last straw for the Hammond VFW they have in conjunction with the Hammond port authority and local business have purchased a boat for a newly formed organization called the guards of Liberty they now patrol wolf lake from sun down to sun up.

They also raise the Flag on the Island and take it off at night.
