Where would Hammond be, if they had outsourced with Waste Management like Munster did during the sand-bagging, etc.
Waste Management didn't come and help with the flood; Hammond workers did.
Even Munster residents cried in the newspaper how Hammond's workers were working so hard, right away...and their own town ignored the flooding until it was too late.
Imagine the other things these guys do, and at the rate they do it. When there's emergency such as in Munster, who was there for them? Hammond's workers.
I wonder how much more the cost of Waste Management will charge when a new contract is up in any given town/city that outsources. You won't want to go there, with the cost of fuel going up.
Even the cocaine dealer confessed to an undercover "buyer" he had to charge $25.00 more to deliver cocaine, because of gas. That story was in the Sun-Times today. LOL
