Lake County Budget Hearings

The Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) will be conducting Budget Hearings
on Friday October 24, 2008 at the Lake County Auditorium.

The Budget Hearings start at 8:30 am for all cities and towns in Lake County.

The Budget Hearings pertain to Cities, Schools, and other taxing districts.

The Hammond School budget hearing is scheduled in the morning but the time is not given.
Therefore everyone should get there at 8:30 am.

The City of Hammond will have their hearing at 12:30 pm.

At the hearing you will be able to give testimony or be allowed to speak on budget items that
you may not agree with.

This is everyone's chance to speak or forever hold your peace.

That should be an energizing, intelligently filled room.. Let's see, politicians and people like freak show. Know body with an intelligent solution, kind of like our current political contenders. Extremist from both side, politicians with no accountability and "taxpayers" who just say NO, CUT, CUT, CUT..... With no "plan", until it effects a service they feel they should get at the taxpayersâ€™ expense, right Mirage?
