Got a call from a nice young man this morning, offering to deliver the Times to my Hammond home for $6 a month. It WAS $18, he said.
I'm glad to see them take a different approach to their financial woes than the now-bankrupt Sun Times.
They RAISED the copy price to 75 cents. A 50% increase, then went bankrupt.
The Times, on the other hand, LOWERS its price by 2/3rds, a decrease of 66%.
I wish them luck at finding a way to keep a newspaper alive.

They could start by actually putting some local news on the pages. Otherwise it's just bird cage and kitty litter liner.

I use it for lining Quackers cage. It's no good for anything else. :x
