Many are receiving notices about tollway fines in Illinois for not paying the toll. These transponders do fail from time to time. If you call like I did, they handle it very fairly. I have had a toll pass for years. They don't argue. If you have an account they deduct all at once eliminating any fines. I hear that they were doubling the fees. That's not the case. Many motorist fail to register a new car for their transponder and it doesn't read it correctly.
They will straighten everything out over the phone. You may have to wait a long time but it's worth it.
