The Cubs yet again blew it in the playoffs.

As in previous years, they have always had an excuse for it

in 1945 it was a goat
in 1969 it was a black cat
in 1984 it was a wet glove
in 2003 it was Bartman

There was no excuse in 2007 nor in 2008 except piss poor hitting in the post season, but of course the fans need to blame someone/thing

will they blame Soriano again like last year?
Will they blame Fukodome? Only problem I have with him taking the blame is he went into a tailspin in August,, well before the post season
Will they blame Pinella for leaving Dempster in to long in game 1, which I would assume threw them out of the rhythm?
Will they blame the infielders for making 4 errors in 1 inning like they did in game 2? This is a stretch as well, considering the errors did not cost them game 1 nor game 3.

So just what will the die hard fans blame?

Oh I know, its still Bartmans fault from 2003, yeah thats the ticket :)

And go ahead and say how the White sox may or may not get into the ALCS either, I never expected the White Sox to make the playoffs this year, and they got lucky as far as I'm concerned. Plus they did not lead the league in wins like the Cubs did either.

I wonder if they will blame that one fan who was on the news who was bragging how he paid to get put on the list for World Series tickets early.

Yeah thats it, blame him, since the players stunk up the joint

The fans didn't help the team either.

Listen to the crowd after the 4th inning of game 1, and after the second inning of game 2, they were dead. Compare that to the fans in Tampa Bay where even when the White sox were winning, you could still hear the cowbells going off and the crowd was into it.

So much for the die har dfans supporting the team, once they lose the lead, the fans go quiet
