After 40 years of smoking, I have finally had enough.
But I'm in a really bad mood today!
I WANT A CIG! :x

It's too darn expensive! Cheapest non-filters I can find are about $4.00 a pack . That's every day.
$28 a week.
Geez, I could almost make a car payment with that!

Plus, as everyone knows, smoking is no good for your health. The doc has been ragging me lately about it.

Don't give in as one puff resets the cycle of addition. Stay strong and in a few weeks you will wonder why you ever smoked.

Here is a good site:

Good for you, Free. When you feel like smoking, go take a walk.

I sure wish I could do the walk. I can't make it around the block. My legs give out. That's part of the reason I'm an officially disabled person.
But I am going to try to kick the butts. Just the waste of money is enough reason to quit.
I'm suffering, though.

OK, walk to the next driveway. Then tomorrow the lungs (and maybe the legs) will be better - walk to the next one.

That's not possible. My legs are permanently disabled, according to the docs.
Now, I am trying to quit smoking. No further discussion is necessary.

If you didn't want to discuss it, why did you post it on a discussion board?

Sooorrry for my enthusiasm - just wish my son would see the light also!

I just don't feel like debating my medical condition is all. I just want to stop smoking.
Good luck to your son. It's not easy to give it up.

Here's why I HATE the Nofree message board and people who INCORRECTLY post what I say here on that board.
Here's what I actually wrote yesterday when discussing my effort to stop smoking. Karent suggested I take a nice walk when I get the urge to smoke.

Here's what Karen, who had commented on my quit-smoking subject here, posted today on Nofree:

How does she get to a fishing spot - told me she can't walk next door.

Now, it's this kind of crap that gets me called a liar on that board every day.
Again, if you don't want to have a conversation on this board with me, just pass my topics here by and go straight to Nofree. You'll have no problem with me. I'll continue to mostly ignore you when you are on this board.

Doctors aren't Gods and they don't know everything.. I'd be seeking a second opinion and finding a doctor who is willing to do whatever it took to help you heal and get better. In the meantime, every time you light up,you are damaging the systems in your body which can help you get better. This is the perfectly time of year to start living a healthy life. Locally grown fruits and vegetables are cheap, abundant and taste great.

Thanks for the tip Mr. Universe. Powerful....real powerful stuff coming from a guy who gobbles down 3000 calories by the time most of us get up.
