Rielle Hunter compared John Edwards with Gandhi and went around trashing his cancer-stricken wife, it was reported Sunday.

"She does not give off good energy. ... I've only met her once.... She didn't make eye contact with me."

Report: Edwards' Call for Forgiveness Met with Rage Among Former Supporters

Edwards — who is noticeably absent from the Democratic National Convention that began Monday in Denver — is said to be making phone calls to his former supporters, saying, "I let you down, and I'm sorry," the Post reports.

One former assistant told the paper that he ending his conversation with Edwards abruptly, telling the former North Carolina senator, "I don't want you to call me again."

Mahoney Admits 'Multiple' Affairs But No Crimes

U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney, embroiled in an adultery scandal and a tight race for re-election, admitted Friday to having at least two affairs.

Mahoney, 52, apologized to his wife, his daughter and his constituents, even as he maintained he hadn't been hypocritical.
