Where are all the deer and other wildlife supposed to go with all the subdivisions they are building against 94 in Burns Harbor, Indiana area? They are going to go on 94 and get killed or possibly kill someone that hits them!

Location: Porter County
What should we do about this, Wildlife?

Should we never allow people to sell their land to build houses for people to live in? That sounds mean and I don't mean it to be, but I truly feel that Porter County has more undeveloped land than most others - particularly when you factor in the National Lakeshore and the Indiana Dunes.

I know it's easy to say what other people can and can't do with their property. I see it and hear it all of the time. "My kids play in those woods - don't let them build houses there." "My realtor told me that houses could never be built behind me." "I built a house in this new subdivision, but don't build any more subdivisions because I don't want the traffic/crime/etc."

Got a solution?

Hunters will kill the deer. There are lots of deer in Indiana.

As far as the NIMBY "not in my back yard" issues it's all about smart planning on behalf of public officials.
