Can anyone tell me about Highland, IN? I'm in Chicago now but have see a cute house for sale and would like to buy the house but I don't really know what the "scene" is like. What do people do there? Where are the stores? Theatres? Restaurants? Anything you could tell me would help. Thanks |

Hello there. Highland is a very nice community. I live about 14 miles south of highland, It is located right on US 41 and all of the mall and stores are there, Any store you could ask for. I cannot vouch for the schools for I don't know but I am sure if you do a search for school reportcards, you will find Highland IN schools there. I hope you make the move.. P. |

My sister and brother law live in Highland and they roll up the side walks after 10 o'clock. If your coming from Chicago I'd say you'd be better off in Crown Point. There is history here and a happening night life. Valpariso is a nice college town. Miller or Beverly Shores is cool for the beaches. Don't sell out to suberbia and shopping malls just yet. |
