I think these days there are people who don't know what poverty is. If their kid can only belong to one soccer league, they feel poor. Basic cable instead of every channel on earth is a sacrifice. |

I agree with you karent, People do have tremendous material wealth in this country and a slight change in their circumstances seems disasterous to them. If though everyone would live a little more frugally and give to those without and help them to their feet there would be no stimulus package needed and we could put government out of business in many areas. Americans will eventually have to learn to take care of the poor without government involvement. We must take care of our personal family members and all who need our asistance. It would be so nice if churches, individuals, families and civic groups would be kind and generous to each other in everyway so we can get the government out of our lves once and for all. |
