Dear Fellow Internet Supporters

In early December I received a call from several of La Porte's
citizens urging me to seek the office of Mayor of The city of La
Porte. Many of these citizens were very persuasive. After prayerful
consideration and family discussions I have decided to accept this
challenge before me and continue with my campaign after a short hiatus
due to health issues that have since been on their way to being
completely resolved.

Being actively involved in civic and political issues since 2000, I
have sought to create effective change in State, County and Local
legislation. I have worked for national and Statewide lobbying groups
with the hope of giving Hoosiers a choice. I have more recently
started a Countywide Lobbying group that will soon grow to over 100
members strong in just under three months. My family and I now feel
that the time has come for me to offer myself as a servant in the
public arena. I am hopeful that I can bring some of those common sense
ideas straight from the people to the Representatives of the La Porte
Common Council. As you may know, I have also been actively involved in
creating change in our community. While working with several
Bi-Partisan Council members I feel we have made some progress, but our
victory is faint.

My hope is to bring your concerns to the forefront of the issues that
I believe there are workable solutions to. These solutions will
enhance our children's learning achievements and test scores without
creating a hardship for taxpayers and will improve our local economy
along with building skilled labor positions in our community. I would
like to see our community grow and become a place were businesses
would like to operate and people want to live and send their children
to school. We must do this without attitudes and political social
agendas. We must look at many issues in resolving our cities
economical hardships. In our personal finances we must look at budget
cuts and we must live within our means. We should not expect any less
from our government.

Another area of interest is giving the citizens of La Porte a firm
local government that will represent their wishes. Currently we do not
have a representative government body. Our Mayor and most of our City
Council have run rampid without faultier in their own political
agendas and have failed to consider public input. We must put a stop
to this and restore local government back to the people.

As you can see, I am excited at the possibility of serving the people
of this great city. But before I can serve I must conduct a very
aggressive campaign. My Democratic and Republican opponents are quite
set in their political "careers". Due to the peculiar layout of this
city and the cost to campaign the territory, they have been unopposed
in several elections by many independent candidates. This is one more
reason I feel strongly that I must step forward and offer the voters
of La Porte a new choice.

To be successful in this endeavor it will take a very strong and
dedicated grass roots organization movement. I believe the voters of
this city will step forward with my family in a united volunteer
effort. As you may have guessed my family is already hard at work
designing fliers, building winning strategies of their own, and
spreading the word of my campaign. Many people have already
volunteered to help knock on doors, place yard signs and of course,
participate in many upcoming events.

With thousands of brochures to purchase, hundreds of yard signs to
order, scores of radio ads to place, and a whole city to cover, I will
need your help. I am turning to the people who I will represent in
office, and to those who know me best, and I am humbly inviting you to
get involved in my campaign and help make a difference.

Your early contribution, made payable to "Michael Strauss for Mayor"
will give our race a tremendous boost right out of the starting block.
Your gift of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or $1,000 will help me raise
the vital "early seed money" I need to successfully launch this
campaign. Our goal is to raise $2,000 by Independence Day, July 4th,
and I humbly ask for your support in helping us rise to this great

There is a reply card enclosed that I hope you will print and detach
to return your personal check and help me in my journey to restore a
representative government to the City of LaPorte. If you wish to
donate via credit card, Liberty Dollars, gold, silver, wire transfer,
or any other means please email me for details.

Thanks in advance for your encouragement, generous support, and
prayers. My family and I are grateful for your friendship and wish you
blessings in the years to come!

In Liberty,
Michael Strauss

Folks, I wouldn't give any hard earned money to this loser; he lost the last time around, and he's a young dude only; I think about 23 years old. Don't waste your precious time on him.
