The Restaurant at The Lost Marsh is one of the sleekest additions to the Northwest Indiana dining scene. The restaurant is in the stately new clubhouse building of the Lost Marsh Golf Course, an impressive prairie-style building with slanted roofs, long horizontal lines and wide eaves inspired by the designs of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

It offers outdoor balcony dining and window views simultaneously overlooking both the industrial might and natural beauty of our region, featuring sweeping vistas of George Lake, Wolf Lake in the distance and the lovely North Hammond Lost Marsh Golf Course. From this balcony one can also spot oil storage tanks rising like oddly shaped religious icons and faraway oil refineries and steel mills.

My wife and I had dinner at the Lost Marsh restaurant last night. It is a magnificent building on top of a hill overlooking the golf course and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding industrial area. The Horseshoe, the Skyway,BP and Stateline all look very impressive at night. It makes one proud to be a region rat. The food was first rate. I had a Kobe beef burger on a pretzel bread bun that was cooked to perfection. My wife had the broiled whitefish in a wonderful sauce. The baked sweet potato, topped with marshmellows was tasty, as was the tomato soup. If you mention WJOB, you receive a free appetizer of calamari.Kudos to them for offering a locally made beer,Gumballhead from 3 Floyd's on tap. If you are looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, the Lost Marsh restaurant is a good option.

I don't know about you sparky, have you no common sense?

Are you as big of a glutton for punishment as you are for food?

After the numerous posts maligning your severe clinical obesity, you then make a post detailing
the when, what and where of you filling your vile maw.

Monty Python, The Meaning Of Life, The Mr Creosote sketch.
