Did anyone else read in the newest WRiteStuff about the Mayor hiring a consultant to go after the people claiming homestead exemptions when they do not legally qualify for them? When they do identify these illegal exemptions they will petition the County to collect back taxes associated with that exemption to the fullest extent of the law.
